Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

• News content: text, links, public-channel names, post identifiers, timestamps, and media or source references from selected public sources, including publicly accessible Telegram channels.
• Content you provide: headlines, captions, edits, generated images, approval decisions, and publishing preferences.
• Facebook Page information: the Page identity, permitted Page-related metadata, authorized access credentials, and publishing results needed to connect to and post on the Page you manage.
• Local operational information: story-queue records, statuses, duplicate-detection information, settings, error details, and post identifiers or links used to verify publishing.

MideastAI is not intended to collect sensitive personal information. Please avoid entering sensitive or private personal data into story drafts or other inputs unless necessary and lawful.

2. How information is used

Information is processed to retrieve selected news items, identify duplicates, prepare and edit drafts, generate or attach graphics, allow editorial review, publish approved posts to a connected Facebook Page, show publication status, troubleshoot errors, and prevent accidental duplicate publishing.

MideastAI uses authorized Page permissions only to support the Page-management activities you initiate or configure.

3. Local storage and connected services

MideastAI is designed as a desktop application. News-queue data, settings, and some authentication or publication information may be stored on the computer where it is installed. The amount and location of local data depend on your configuration and installed version.

When you choose to publish, relevant images, captions, and related information are transmitted to Meta/Facebook. Public-source retrieval may connect to Telegram. If you enable additional external image-generation, hosting, or AI services, material submitted to those services is processed under their respective terms and privacy policies. AI features configured to run locally can process content on your computer instead.

We do not sell personal information obtained through MideastAI.

4. Facebook and other third-party platforms

Facebook Page publishing is provided through Meta's platform interfaces. Content you publish is subject to Facebook's policies and your Page's visibility settings. Meta processes data according to its own policies. You may review Meta's Privacy Policy.

Public Telegram content remains subject to the source publisher's policies and rights. MideastAI does not control third-party content or its accuracy.

5. Data retention

Local news drafts, post histories, application settings, and duplicate-prevention records may remain on your device until removed through the application or by deleting the associated local application data. Deleting a story from the queue may retain a minimal record (such as a source identifier or content fingerprint) to prevent the same story from being imported again. Publication records may be kept to prevent duplicate posts and support troubleshooting.

Deleting local MideastAI data does not automatically delete a post already published on Facebook; Page administrators must separately manage published Facebook content.

6. Security

We aim to limit access to information to what is needed for the application to function. Users should protect their computers, Page access tokens, credentials, and backup files. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your choices and deletion requests

You can choose which public sources to monitor, edit content before publishing, disconnect an authorized Facebook Page, and remove eligible stories from the local queue. You can also request information about data associated with your use of MideastAI or request its deletion by contacting the operator.

We will review requests and respond in accordance with applicable law, subject to any legal obligations or necessary security records.

8. Children's privacy

MideastAI is a professional content-management tool, not designed for use by children. We do not intentionally solicit information from children through this application.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect application changes or applicable requirements. The latest version and its effective date will be posted on this page.
